Make free phone calls to the USA and Canada from Google Hangouts for iOS
With the new update announced to the Google Hangout app for iOS, it’s so easy to make calls for free to the USA that paying for phone calls should be a thing of the past.
Once you have updated to the latest version of the iOS app on your device, you will see a message at the top letting you know you can call friends.
Notice the phone icon that has appeared in the top right hand corner of the app. Go ahead and click the icon to be able to dial a number or select a contact.
Go ahead and select a contact or dial in any number, and we are going to dial Google in the USA. hey, Voila, the app confirms the call is free so let’s just jump in and make the call.

We expect this new feature to be greatly valued by iOS users and would anticipate it’s arrival to Android fairly soon.
Now you do know that you can also make these free calls directly from your Gmail and the new hangouts interface? Well you do now, so never, ever pay for a call to the US again!
