Unallocate Bank Customer Receipt from Sales Invoice

    Overview

    If you have allocated a Bank Customer Receipt to a sales invoice and later need to remove the the payment allocation you may do this with the Unallocate quick on the Bank Receipt record.

    When you unallocate a Bank Customer Receipt from a sales invoice, the Bank Customer Receipt is converted to a Bank Customer Payment On Account. The following is true for unallocating a receipt:

    • The original Bank Customer Receipt ledger records are updated to reflect they are modified from a Bank Customer Receipt  to a Bank Customer Payment On Account.
    • The Customer account balance remains the same.
    • The Bank Account balance remains the same.
    • The Sales Invoice paid and unpaid amounts are recalculated.
    • You will then be able to allocate the Bank Csutomer Payment on Account to another transaction using the Allocate Credit Note Or Payment On Account to Invoices screen.

    Prerequisites for Unallocate Bank Customer Receipt.

    The following conditions will be required to perform the Unallocate Customer Receipt action:

    • You should be using the Salesforce Lightning interface.
    • Your administrator should add the Unallocate Quick Action to your Bank Receipt page layout.
    • You will require the Zumzum Financials Administrator permission set or your own custom permissions.
    • Your Bank Receipt record should not be before your Zumzum Financials Lock Date.
    • Your Bank Receipt line item ledger entries should not be Bank Reconciled
    • Your Bank Receipt line item ledger entries should not be VAT Reconciled

    The Unallocate Bank Customer Receipt feature is limited to :

    • Bank Customer Receipts allocated to Sales Invoices

    Unallocate Bank Customer Receipt from Sales Invoices.

    To unallocate a Bank Customer Receipt from a Sales Invoice please follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Bank Receipt record you wish to unallocate.
    2. Select the Unallocate quick action
    3. Select the Bank Receipt Line Items you wish to unallocate
    4. A confirmation message is displayed that the Bank Receipt has been unallocated.
    5. Review your Customer Account balance, Bank Account balance and Sales Invoice balances to ensure you are satisfied with the results.
